India is a country with multiple labour laws and a complex regulatory environment. There are more than 44 central labour laws and more than 150 state laws. However laws alone do not always lead to good governance. Many of the current labour regulations not only make life difficult for employers, but it is not evident if they do a good job of protecting employees. In fact, a revamp of the regulatory eco-system can improve India’s ranking with regard to the ease of doing business and raise the labour force participation in formal sector.

TeamLease has always endeavored to facilitate a cohesive labour law and compliance ecosystem by working closely with both Corporate India and Public Policy makers. In continuation of this a panel discussion was organized on 16th May  to discuss and deliberate on the Top 10 Regulatory Changes Required in 2017 in India .
