NEW DELHI, NOV 10: The ongoing sealing drive by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is hitting the India Inc where it hurts the most.

On Thursday, large enterprises like Jagdish Store, Ebony, Haldiram and offices of Zee Telefilms were sealed. Makemytrip.com, Teamlease, MeriTrac, Rediff.com, ICFAI, Bharti Airtel are also vacating their prime offices in South Delhi.

Consulting firms like Pricewaterhouse Coopers are already under the MCD scanner.

According to sources, the renovated PWC office in Saidulajab area in South Delhi was sealed just after it was inaugurated this year. Adjacent to it, Bharti Airtel office is being vacated.

Most affected are the public relations agencies, most of which operate from basements, garages or LGFs in the residential areas of the Capital.

While some PR agencies like 20:20 Media and Vaishnavi Communications have already vacated their offices, others like Perfect Relations, Image Inc, Sampark, Comma Consulting Accord PR, Clea PR, Team Orange, Blue Lotus are discreetly operating from residential areas.

The MCD is also coming down heavily on advertising agencies. Ogilvy & Mather has been hit hard with Ogilvy Centre in Okhla closing down.

On Wednesday, it sealed Trai premises and CTC Plaza. Some months ago, the office of news channel S1 was also sealed.
