• Perform bookkeeping tasks and maintain accurate financial records
• Process invoices and ensure timely payments
• File GST and QST returns in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Prepare sales tax reports and reconcile sales tax accounts
• Conduct bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial transactions
• Manage daily financial operations and ensure smooth functioning of accounting processes
• Coordinate year-end requirements including financial audits and tax filings
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making processes
• Monitor and report bi-weekly cash flow, making adjustments for seasonal variations
• Maintain reporting standards and ensure compliance with accounting principles
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills to identify and resolve accounting issues
• Utilize technical skills to leverage accounting software and tools effectively
• Exhibit zero tolerance for errors and strive for accuracy in all financial activities

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0-6 months of experience in accounting or related roles
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
• Strong knowledge of GST, QST, and other tax regulations
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity
• Real estate accounting experience is a plus
