Job Description:
Job Overview:A CNC Milling Programmer/Supervisor is responsible for programming, setting up, and operating computer numerical control (CNC) milling machines to produce precision components and parts according to engineering specifications. They are proficient in reading blueprints, interpreting technical drawings, and utilizing CNC software to optimize machining processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Program CNC Milling Machines:
· Develop and write CNC programs using appropriate software based on engineering drawings and specifications.
· Optimize programs to achieve efficient machining processes and minimize production time.

· Set up CNC milling machines by loading tools, setting offsets, and securing workpieces.
· Calibrate machines to ensure accurate and precise machining operations.
2. Operate CNC Milling Machines:
· Operate CNC milling machines to execute programmed sequences for cutting, drilling, shaping, and finishing parts.
· Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
3. Quality Assurance:
· Perform quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts meet specified tolerances and standards.
· Address any deviations from quality requirements and make adjustments as needed.
4. Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
· Conduct routine maintenance on CNC milling machines to ensure optimal performance and prevent breakdowns.
· Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions or programming errors.
5. Material Handling:
· Manage raw materials and tool inventory efficiently, ensuring proper usage and minimizing waste.
· Order and restock materials and tools as needed to support production requirements.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
· Maintain accurate records of machine setup, programming, production runs, and quality inspections.
· Generate reports on production output, downtime, and any incidents related to machine operation.
7. Safety and Compliance:
· Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
· Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies related to CNC machining operations.
8. Collaboration and Communication:
· Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure seamless production processes.
· Communicate effectively regarding progress, challenges, and recommendations for improvements.
