As a Delivery Executive, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the timely and safe delivery of goods to customers. You will be entrusted with transporting various items, ranging from packages to food orders, to their designated destinations.
Responsibilities:
1. Safely transport goods to customer locations in a timely manner.
2. Follow routes and schedules provided by the dispatch team or delivery management system.
3. Load and unload items from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
4. Verify the accuracy of items being delivered by cross-checking with delivery orders or invoices.
5. Provide excellent customer service by being courteous, professional, and helpful during deliveries.
6. Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues.
7. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices.
8. Maintain the cleanliness and upkeep of the delivery vehicle, performing routine inspections and maintenance as needed.
9. Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents to the appropriate authorities and follow company procedures.
10. Keep accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery times.
Requirements:
1. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
2. Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role is preferred.
3. Excellent time management and organizational skills.
4. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Physical stamina and ability to lift and carry heavy items.
7. Familiarity with GPS devices or navigation apps.
8. High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
9. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on delivery demands.
10. Knowledge of local roads and neighborhoods is a plus.
