Job Title: Accountant – General Ledger

Department: Finance

Experience – 01 – 03 Years

Position Summary

This position works in a shared services environment at Epiq Hyderabad and performs accounting functions in accordance with US GAAP. The position works closely with business unit personnel across Epiq’s various offices to identify and address accounting issues in an ever-changing business environment and strives to assure internal controls are designed and operating effectively. This position also supports providing deliverables for external audit and statutory accounting purposes.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintaining general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries for accruals of variance.
• Export the journal entries from Work Day (WD) and post bi-weekly payrolls for each of the company codes
• Utilizing existing available template create and post the journal entries of Canada.
• Review and perform in SAP for the vendors that are created have appropriate supporting documents and approve them.
• Perform accounting analysis for cash accruals, account payables, account receivables, reconciliations and foreign exchange
• Perform month-end account closing activities and reconciliations.
• Entering the Fx rates on day to day basis in SAP without a miss.
• Assist various departments in accounting issues and queries
• Support and assist auditor during internal and external audits as and when required.
• Perform accounting analyses and reporting to support decision-making purposes.
• Adhere to standard accounting principles and company procedures.
• Review and updation of SOP’s documents on regular basis or as and when required.

• Complete special projects and other similar accounting duties as assigned
  
  

Knowledge/Skill/Ability & Qualifications

• Strong ability to communicate in English both in written and verbal forms.
• Bachelors or Post Graduate in Commerce or equivalent qualification
• Excellent interpersonal skills including discretion, tact and courtesy
• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards and compliance requirements
• SAP experience preferred
• Protect organizations value by keeping information confidential
• Focus on Quality and possess good analytical skills
• Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team,
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities.
