  • Have a sound understanding of the forecasting systems and assist in preparing the monthly/annual forecasts
  • Evaluation and development of cost control methods, which include but are not limited to labour, cost of goods sold, other operating expenses, in all aspects of hotel operations.
  • Monitor and lead process development for various departments throughout the resort for profit and service improvements.
  • Perform pricing and cost analysis, inventory management, and general audit procedures.
  • Evaluate the overall operational methods of handling, storage, and recovery of operating supplies and guest supplies.
  • Identify and report on the positive and negative cost trends.
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to drive productivity, cost out opportunities and to ensure overall site financial targets/KPI are met.
  • Have knowledge of all job descriptions and SOP's relating to functions within department.
  • Ability to plan effectively in order to meet demands of both guests and staff.
  • Accurately assess staff members' training needs and locate sources to provide training needed.
  • Train and develop staff members in multiple areas.
  • Communicate well at all levels within the organization.
  • Foster teamwork within the department.
  • Identify and solve problems within existing time constraints.
  • Use sound judgment in making decisions.
  • Determine proper atmosphere for coaching and counseling.
  • Maintain records storage area in compliance with record retention requirements of relevant government agencies.
  • Preparation and knowledge of sales tax returns, as well as any other applicable tax liabilities.
  • Manage and oversee all Accounts Receivable functions, including collection calls as needed.
  • Verify credit cards are processed every night by night audit as needed.
  • Verify cash deposits are made timely as needed.
