Specialist, Accounting – Primary responsibility:
The Associate’s primary responsibility is to ensure that the day-to-day Accounts Receivable processes are executed efficiently & accurately with minimum supervision where invoices are issued to customers and partners promptly. The Associate will be required to communicate directly with Functional departments and external stakeholders.
Specifically, the role involves AR invoicing & collection tracking, member refunds, Creation and posting of Journal Entries in Oracle, Balance Sheet reconciliations, GST output workings on B2B, B2C for payment, returns & reconciliation, preparing schedules for Statutory payments & preparing Tax Audit schedules for Statutory Audit purposes, reconciling the GAAP variance between Management & Tax Books.
Ø AR invoicing/credit & debit notes – Affiliations, enrolments, material sales, complimentary weeks, sublease, etc.
Ø AR analysis, follow-up and tracking collections from developers and updating receipt package
Ø Processing refunds to members
Ø Working on Bad debt provision on quarterly & ad-hoc
Ø Creation and posting of Journal Entries with supports mainly
o AR-related entries
o Member Refund entries
o Subscription, Absorption, Deferred exchange liability
o Royal enrolments & collections.
Ø DBL postings and accounting
Ø Monthly GST Output Payments, returns & reconciliations
Ø Preparing schedules for GST and income tax audit assessments
Ø Reviewing of management and Tax books and reconciling the items with necessary explanations
Ø Assisting in coordination, preparing schedules for Internal audit, Sox Audit, and Statutory audit
Ø Handling EVS1 (Internal System) related queries on a requirement basis
Ø Acting as a backup for EVS1 updates for member’s collections
Ø Involvement in Finance related Projects
Ø Updating EVS1 for complimentary transfers on Saturdays (rotation basis)
Ø Assisting in preparation of MIS reports
Ø Preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations
