Agri-Business Specialist/District Environmental Specialist recruitment in Himachal Pradesh Horticulture Development 

 

Agri-Business Specialist

Qualification : BSc Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry with Master’s degree in Agri-Business Management Or BSc Agriculture/Horticulture/Forestry with MBA in the field of Marketing/Finance. Desirable:Experience of working in World Bank Aided / multilateral funded Projects and knowledge of local custom & dialect of H.P. Experience: Minimum 3years’ experience relevant to assignment i.e. Minimum three years of work experience in the field of agri enterprise development/ agriculture marketing/ agri value chain studies/ agriculture or horticulture based institutional strengthening. Preference will be given to the candidates having familiarity with agricultural (and related) policies and Acts.

District Environmental Specialist

Qualification : B.Sc.Forestry (4 years’ degree programme)/ B.Sc. Bio Sciences/ B. Tech/ B.E. (Civil/Environment) from a recognized UniversityandM.Sc.(Environmental Sciences/Forestry)/M. Tech (Civil Engineering with specialization in Environment) from a recognized University. Experience:Minimum 3years’ experience in conducting EIA/ESIA and preparation of Environment Management Plan. Preference will be given to the Specialistshaving practical experience in conducting EIA and preparation of EMP and having familiarity with environmental policies and Acts related to the similar project and previous experience of working in externally aided projects in hilly areas.

Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

Qualification : The Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist must have Master degree (or equivalent) in economics/Statistics/or a relevant discipline. A combination of several  Minimum experience of 5·specializations will be an asset. Working Experience  years of which at least 3 years should be on a senior and responsible position in Private/Cooperative /Government/NGO sector. The candidate should have extensive experience in project design, monitoring and evaluation and knowledge and experience of both qualitative and quantitative methods for M&E.

 Knowledge of a·Desirable Qualifications and Experience:  statistical software and experience with handling large datasets is highly  Experience of working in project(s) assisted by any·desirable.   Experience of providing technical·international/national organization  support to and capacity building of organizations with strong analytical skills, and the ability to synthesize complex concepts and to communicate them  Ability to work effectively in teams as well as independently.·effectively.   Good communication and social skills; the candidate must show initiative,· synthesis, organization and personal dynamism, as well as capacity to work with  Fluency in English·teams and prepare adequate planning and activity reports;  and Hindi.

Procurement Officer

Qualification : He/ She should be a graduate in Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or MBA/M. Com from a reputed institution. Working Experience:  Should have total experience of 5 years in procurement related field in a reputed organization out of which at least 2 years of experience should be in managing procurement related activities under civil construction or installation of plant & machinery etc.  Previous work experience in planning and execution of Horticulture Post-Harvest Management infrastructure and processing plants will be an added advantage.

. Desirable Qualifications, Skills etc.:  Persons with experience of working in multilateral funded projects will be given preference.  The candidate should have good social, analytical and planning skills; and he must show initiative, synthesis, organization and personal dynamism, be self-motivated and ability to work independently as well as in teams.  Should have Knowledge of local customs and dialects of H.P.

Social Development Specialist

Qualification : Masters in Sociology or Social Work or Masters in Social Sciences or MBA in Rural Development from institutions of repute with at least 5 years of relevant work experience in community mobilization, implementation of livelihood programs and other activities related to the key tasks elaborated below. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in externally funded projects/programmes engaged in Agriculture or horticulture sector development.

Tribal Development Specialist

Qualification : Masters in Sociology/ Social Work/ Anthropology/ Rural Development or MBA in Rural Development from recognized university/institutions of repute/. Desirable:PG diploma in tribal studies from recognized university/institutions. Preference will be given to candidates who have knowledge of dialects, customs and culture of tribal areas of HP. Preference will be given to the candidates who have worked for similar assignments with international agencies like World Bank, ADB & EU etc. Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in implementation of livelihood programs in tribal areas and other activities related to the key tasks elaborated below. Preference will be given to candidates having experience of working in Externally Aided Projects, Natural Resource Management and other schemes/programmes in Agriculture or Horticulture sector development especially in tribal areas.
