Indian Air Force offers opportunities for UNMARRIED MALE INDIAN/NEPALESE CITIZENS from all districts of state of Tamil Nadu, UT of
Puducherry and Andaman & Nicobar Islands to join as airmen. The recruitment test is for Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical trades) except Automobile
Technician, Indian Air Force (Police),Indian Air Force (Security) and musician trades will be held at Indira Gandhi Sports Complex, Puducherry.
Educational Qualification.
(a) For Group ‘Y’ Trades {Except Auto Tech, IAF (P),IAF(S) & Musician Trades)
Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Class XII
or Equivalent Examination in any stream/subjects approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate as well as in
English in Class XII or equivalent examination OR Passed two years vocational course from Education Boards listed as COBSE member with
minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in vocational course or in Intermediate/Matriculation if English is not a subject in
Vocational Course.
(b) For Group ‘Y’ (Non-Technical) Medical Assistant Trade. Candidate should have passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Class XII or Equivalent
Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English approved by Central / State Education Boards with minimum 50% marks in aggregate as
well as in English in Class XII or equivalent examination.
Note - 1: Education boards listed in Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) website as members shall only be permitted.
Note - 2: Exact aggregate percentage (% ) of marks before decimal as written in the marks sheet of 10+2/intermediate/equivalent OR calculated as per
the rules of concerned education board shall only be considered (For example 49.99% should be taken as 49% and not to be rounded off to 50%)
Pay & Allowances. During training, a stipend of Rs. 14,600/- per month shall be paid. On completion of training the starting gross emoluments at
the minimum of scale of pay including Military Service Pay (MSP) pay shall be Rs. 26,900/- per month plus Dearness allowance (as applicable) which, in
subsequent years, may rise as per the career progression of the individual
