Airport Operations Supervisor

Position Description

The Airport Operations Supervisor helps the manager carry out administrative responsibilities This may involve being in charge of maintenance employees, airport equipment, airport tenant relations, or any of the other kinds of work associated with an airport

Types of Duties

Working conditions vary greatly depending upon the size of the airport At a large airport, the Operations Supervisor works in an office usually located in the terminal building and may take on a more prominent role Operations Supervisors participate in short/long-range planning in a number of areas

Typical Requirements and/or Experience

Depending upon the size of the airport, requirements for the job of Operations Supervisor vary through a Diploma of Logistics is a common requirement Large metropolitan airports typically require three to seven years of prior experience at airports served by a number of airlines
