Who you are:

As AIXSME need to perform L3 activities. Proven troubleshooting skill in AIX

What you’ll do:

• Troubleshoot and resolve OS issues, performance issues, connectivity issues, security issues, service requests etc.
• Detect and solve AIX Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
• Monitor the internal and production servers regularly and be responsible for system error diagnosis and troubleshooting as well as with actively addressing potential systems
• Day-to-day administration and configuration changes of AIX Server
• Enrolling users and maintaining system security
• Prepare and follow daily check list dedicated monitoring.
• Periodically review and update existing process / project documentation, process workflows, document templates, communication template and checklists.
• Installation/ upgradation / migration / patch management in compliance with IBM standards.
• Participate in POCs and other technical initiatives
• Maintain a security AIX server environment, as well as assisting in disaster recovery if necessary
• Identify operational risks and contribute to mitigate the same.
• Raise product related issues with OEM, assist with logs and traces and take necessary follow-ups.

Required Professional and Technical Expertise

• 6+ Years in AIX v6.0, v7.0, v7.5 Installation, Configuration and upgradation administration on Windows and UNIX environments
• Proven knowledge of the fundamental concepts and technologies associated with AIX Operating Systems (Hardware, Software).
• Ability to perform installation, implementation, customization, operation, recovery and performance tuning.
• Demonstrable experience in AIX System Administrator and support various flavors of Unix servers along with experience in HA & VCS cluster technologies
• Validated expertise in backup reports and Initiate actions on backup failure against specific documentation. Implement changes, perform security related tasks, identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures
• Proficient in patching AIX 6 and 7 , Update/upgrade OS by requests and all related works.
• Willingness to work in nights shifts or support 24 x 7 Coverage as per the Business needs

Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise

• Associate's Degree/College Diploma in Information Technology
• At least 3 years experience in one or more of the following areas AIX
• At least 4 years experience in at least one or more of the following: installing, troubleshooting, operating, testing, planning and configuring relevant technologies from above
