Job Description

Primary Responsibilities

Identify, document, track, and drive data quality issues to resolution with a focus on business data usability
Work closely with internal business customers, applications development, and subject matter experts to translate business objectives into practical data quality business rules/requirements
Utilize data profiling to uncover data issues and perform rules based assessments of data
Determine data quality improvement recommendations as well as process and application improvement recommendations for the source systems
Develop scripts in SQL/Python/etc. to achieve data quality objectives
Work to develop & support data quality scorecards
Collaborate with the engineering team to develop data quality logic to apply to ETL and other automated processes based on defined business rules
Actively engage in data validation technology discovery and implementation for on-prem and cloud

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Science and 5+ years of relevant work experience in highly technical data organization
5+ years of experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, etc.
Experience with Microsoft Stack - SQL, SSIS, etc.
Possess strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze, profile and validate data to identify potential data quality issues
Hands on data validation experience Azure cloud technologies and NoSQL databases
Experience with big data environment and validation
Experience with XML, JSON, CSV, etc. file format
Have experience in a multi-dimensional data environment
Previously worked in agile and scrum

Preferred Skills

DevOps on an Azure platform
MCSA Cloud Platform (Azure) Training & Certification
MCSE Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Training & Certification
