The BCC is now known as BCN (Bain Capability Network) with its nodes across various geographies. BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain's case teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property.
About India CoE
The CoE will have teams working in tandem with India Consulting teams supporting the Bain case / client development teams in producing client-ready research and analysis, and generating strong business insights. It provides opportunity for enhanced learning with end-to-end participation on consulting cases along with opportunities for end-client interaction. The teams will work across industries and capabilities on multiple mid/long term cases depending on requirement.
Position Summary
As a tenured Analyst, you will be an active member of the team from Day 1, working in/as part of Bain India Consulting teams on live consulting cases/ client development cases. Analyst will help in making businesses (clients) more valuable and responsible for generating specific industry & company insights. On each case, analysts carry out a full range of functions, including field interviewing, data analysis, solution brainstorming, presentation crafting and delivery to India Consulting case teams and India Consulting clients. They can work on case assignments ranging from corporate strategy to business unit strategy, marketing, operations, or change implementation. As analysts become stronger contributors to the team, they gain more client contact and broader strategic development responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities And Duties
Take responsibility of working in a client facing role, understand client needs and adapt to case expectations
Working in parallel or within existing India Consulting teams on live consulting cases
Assume ownership of assigned work streams and effectively generate required hypotheses to execute work plans
Identify and apply relevant analytical tools for own work streams. Perform a high quality analysis ensuring key questions are answered and key judgement calls are taken in a timely manner
Perform secondary research, triangulating information from a variety of sources (analyst reports, market research reports, news articles etc.) and apply sense checks on the results
Liaise efficiently with internal and external stakeholders. Design and execute in-depth discussions/interviews with the client teams, client’s customers, competitors, suppliers and employers, expert interviews etc. to generate insights
Effectively structure communication of insights from own work stream. Deliver clear and professional presentations to the case teams and client teams
Consistently seek and provide meaningful and actionable feedback in all interactions; recognize different skills and development needs in oneself and work towards it
Requirements
Graduate from top-tier College with strong academic records, including coursework in relevant position, preferably quantitative courses in mathematics, business, economics or engineering and 12-30 months of relevant experience.
Possess excellent analytical, communication, and team player skills; ability to handle multiple tasks and work under high pressure case environment
Demonstrated interest in related fields through internships, coursework or extracurricular activities
Strong record of leadership in an academic, professional, or extracurricular setting
A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
Proficient in the English language to communicate effectively both in writing and speech in a professional environment
Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint are required.
