Job Description
Location: Chennai
•Accountable for timely & accurate month-end close process for Compensation and Benefits across business clusters & functions.
•Ensure to have detailed understanding of Bonus, Pension, Redundancy and non cop related HR accounting and accruals and their accounting treatment, aging computations, audit substantiations etc
•Provide Month end close support for multiple functions, facing off to the Cost Lead & FBPs & legal entity controllers
•Custodian for compensation cost accruals and to maintain confidentiality of accounting adjustments
•Ensure all control and governance activities are regularly followed. Ability to foresee challenges and issues and raise necessary escalation where appropriate
•Support MI preparation for Internal and External reporting as per IFRS2 and IAS 19 standards
•Ensure periodic update of process documentation and maintain good control over End User Developed Applications already in use.
What will you be doing?
Month end close
•Cost Accruals & Prepayments - Calculation of accruals and maintenance of calculation models, liaise with FBPs to ensure posting of accruals, prepayments and expense re class (if required) & Adequate substantiation of accruals and prepayments,
•Flash Process - Review and analysis of Flash Results, ensure month-end landing position is accurate and process necessary adjustments adhering to FLC guideline.
•Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Sign-off - Substantiation and reconciliation of all accruals and prepayments posted by the team, Balance sheet reporting by account line & Account Ownership sign-off
•Liaison with internal/external auditors and signing attestation to expense validity for CFO.
What We’re Looking For
•Chartered Accountant with a strong academic record
•Experience in Financial Reporting, Control, Planning and/or Analytics
•Good knowledge of IFRS and IAS standards
•Strong skill sets in MS Office and working knwoledge in ERP environment
•Good Communication skills
•Highly motivated self-starter and Strong planning & organisational skill
