Job Description
Test Automation – Analyst Quality Assurance

• Strong knowledge on Selenium and test automation of Java based applications
• Ensure traceability of all testing deliverables to business requirements.
• Must have hands on working experience in automation testing and usage of different test management tools, Testing techniques, Estimation, Design Test solutions.
• Coordinate with the project team (QA/Project Management, BAs, Technology and QA Directors) to ensure the test deliverables are on track
• Develop/maintain testing process training materials and ensure that the team follows the testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology as specified in the test strategy document.
• Prioritize impacts and facilitate viable workarounds.
• Provide regular status of progress and Weekly status updates and reporting, as well as issues and appropriate escalation requests to Stakeholders.
• Provide ongoing support for new hired test resources joining the team.
• Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process and quality.
• Ensure content and structure of all Testing documents / artifacts is documented and maintained
  

Skills

• Overall testing experience across multiple platforms and applications
• Degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent applicable work experience.
• Expertise in automation using Selenium. Should have led projects on Automation end to end
• Knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process
• Planning and Estimation skills
• Should have strong experience on Agile, Xtreme Programming, and Kanban etc. Processes
• Knowledge on any of the Scripting languages is a definite plus
• Able to mentor the team on Technical aspects
• Strong experience in preparing project status reports
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Should have experience in working with developers and architects in designing test cases for applications from scratch.
• Strong sense of self-motivation, organization and attention to detail.
• Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software and drive resolution.
• Provide timely and meaningful test updates to Stakeholders.
• Great attitude towards work and has a proven track record of high performance in the academics.
• Establish collaborative relationships with other teams to ensure success of project phases.
• Anticipate problems or issues that may arise, forecast high risk areas in software and drive resolution.
• Great Analytical skills and ability to think 'out-of-the-box' for designing test cases and of ways to break the system by innovative test case development and design.
• Desirable to have worked on financial industry, specifically US retirement or Insurance products.
• Ability to understand basic architecture of the application being tested.
