Analyst - Transactions Regulatory Reporting
Location: Bangalore, Karnataka
Will be responsible for producing the regulatory reporting as per MIFID II and EMIR requirements and conducting associated control framework
Key responsibilities:
- Manage day to day reporting of all transactions to the regulators and the markets
- Manage exceptions via a workflow feeding back from Trax for MIFID and DTCC for EMIR and the regulators
- Produce MIs and dashboards in order to give the necessary visibility of the MIFID II and EMIR reporting outcomes and challenges/issues
- Work with internal business teams to address underlying issues and correct reports in AXA’s source systems and resubmit reports
- Act as the first line of defense for MiFID & EMIR reporting by managing controls and oversight metrics to show trends and anomalies that require further root cause analysis to understand and explain
- Conduct weekly and periodic reconciliations of reports from AXA’s source systems, Trax records and regulators’ data as well as DTCC GTR for EMIR. Correcting reports as required
- Maintain records and present updates on a periodic basis, articulate risk status of reporting to senior managers. This may be required under the Senior Managers Regime
- As subject matter experts in reporting, support the long term strategy implementation and roll out from a reporting perspective
- Interface with internal (Traders, IT supports, Middle Office Control teams) and external (State Street, Brokers, Suppliers of technological solution - TRAX, DTCC) people/organisations/committees
Key skills:
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office - MS Word, Excel (intermediate/macro level),Power Point
- Experience in Access, Bloomberg, Fidessa, CTM/Global Oasys, Market Axess and trade web will be advantageous
- Thorough knowledge of financial products and processes
- IT articulate
- Strong logical reasoning and problem solving skills, excellent communication skills, commercially orientated and the ability to plan, prioritise and successfully assist in the implementation of projects
- Customer oriented
- Excellent leadership skills, ability to work with a diverse group of people and an evolving working environment
- Good knowledge of bonds, equities, FX, derivatives and mutual funds
- Knowledge and interest in regulatory topics
- Rigorous attention to detail
- Educated to university level, ideally with professional qualifications
- Fluent in English; Ability to speak French will be an added advantage
- Proven work track record of up to 3 – 5 years
