We’re looking for a talented individual to help build a reliable, performant and intuitive mobile platform. If you possess a passion for pushing mobile technologies to the limits and are proficient in Android development and have a strong understanding of good UX, our mobile development team may be for you. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our mobile applications. Your primary focus will be the development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services. You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.

Responsibilities:

Translation of designs and wireframes into high quality code
Designing, building, and maintaining high performance, reusable, scalable and reliable applications using Java / Kotlin
Ensuring high performing and responsive applications
Identification and resolution of bugs
Maintain coding standards, quality, and automate wherever possible
Experience with database, multithreading, and performance optimization
Applications should be responsive to natural user interfaces, such as “touch” , “gestures”
Use and integrate multiple sensors, such as gyroscopes and accelerometers
Work with outside data sources and APIs
Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

Skills:

Having strong knowledge of Android SDK
Proven software development experience and Android skills development
Proven working experience in Android app development and
Have published at least one original Android app
Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architecture, trends, and emerging technologies
Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle.
Having a knowledge of Android UI design principles and patterns ensuring best coding practices
Having knowledge of cloud message APIs and push notifications
Knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines
Knowledge of versioning tools, such as Git
Familiarity with Agile model
Maintain HIPAA and GDPR compliance and general security through best practice implementation

Qualifications:

Has experience building Android applications and releasing to app store..
B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech degree in relevant disciplines with first class (60%) marks
Great communication skills to collaborate with developer and product stakeholders.
Experience in working on responsive web applications as well as native mobile apps
Interested in latest android announcements and improvements.
Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript
Attention to detail and ability to learn new technologies quickly
