Job Description

We are looking for an Android Developer who possesses a passion for pushing Android technologies to the limits. This Android app developer will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build the next generation of our Set-top-box applications. Android programming works closely with other app development, technical teams and customer around the world.

Role and Responsibilities

• Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Work with outside data sources and APIs
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
• Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Contribute to feature and new product development for projects on Set-Top-Box products of Latin America.
• Work as part of a highly collaborative Agile team to push innovation forward.
• Day-to-day work will include daily stand-ups with your awesome team, working collaboratively in your pod area with Product Management, Testers, UX and of course, fellow developers.
• Working tools include: Github, Jira, Mercurial, CVS.
• You will have access to readily available support from your team with the many cool technologies that we work with.

Requirements

• BTech/MTech degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
• Proven software development experience and Android skills development
• Proven working experience inAndroid, Android TVand/or Android Embedded Development.
• Proven software development experience onJava, C/C++, and JNI
• Have published at least one original Android app
• Experience withAndroid SDK
• Experience working with remote data viaREST and JSON
• Experience withthird-party libraries and APIs
• Experience working in Agile environment
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Solid understanding of the full embedded software development life cycle.
• Must Hands on MediaCas, HIDL, TV Input Framework and Webview for Android.
