App Engineer/Application Infrastructure Consultant

Job Responsibility :

To provide the highest level of technical support and Application configuration
Hands on & strong knowledge in Linux, Middleware(WAS & JBOSS) & SSO Infrastructure
Experience in Linux, Windows OS installation & configurations
Possesses significant knowledge of client/server and internet application systems architectures.
Setup of infrastructure, application technical setup & configurations and handover the application for operations.
Performs review of application system documents from initiation phase to Go live Phase
Strong technical documentation which are essential for Application life cycle management.
Setup & validate all technical documents, review and handover to operations teams.
End to end coordination & ownership for application deployment start from initial to Go Live phase.
Proficiency in Infra & Application Operations Transition
Able to effectively document the required Processes, Procedures, KPIs & related metrics with focus on organization standards
Support Quality initiatives in ITI function by implementing required processes, procedures.
Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the Teams Agile project life-cycle.
Good problem solving skills
Ability to explain technical concepts
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others to provide the best solutions Highly motivated individual, with a positive & pro-active attitude to work and willingness to make changes to improve operational efficiency through innovation, process and procedure, adapting ideas and practices from elsewhere. Job Requirement
Understanding and experience of IT infrastructure domains
3+yrs of experience and strong knowledge in Linux(All flavours),Middleware(WAS, Jboss etc),Python Scripting, PAI Infrastructure
2+Yrs of experience in Windows, VMWare concepts & networking concepts
Knowledge in tool chain & DevOps concepts is an added advantage
Knowledge in ITIL & Service transition
Project management, proficient in using-- mpp, excel, power-point, Word and Visio.
Facilitates infrastructure operations teams for smooth operations by enabling Application integration documents.
Holds regular status meetings with development team & operations teams
Understanding of supported system architecture and evolving technologies
Exposure to Data centre Management-planning, operations and monitoring
Strong oral and written communication skills
Must be proactive with self-initiative and drive to keep projects moving forward
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and Visio.
Sound understanding of IT Infrastructure area.
