Our Team is a part of the IBM Global Solution Guild (GSG) and we are responsible for building, maintaining and operating Cloud based IBM internal tooling which is backbone of our critical initiative - Cloud. GSG owned Tools provides 24 hrs. / 7 day a week managerial support to Cloud Solutioning in IBM. You are a member of the dedicated team will be using agile processes.
As a Application Content developer specialist in our team while using the latest tools and technologies available to deliver state-of-the-art software and security solutions that will allow IBM to provide industry-leading solutions that make the world run today.
The Security Compliance Tools Specialist is expected to:
Responsible for the support, ongoing maintenance, administration & troubleshooting of BigFix environment including patch management, software standardization, Fixlets Tasks Baselines Analyses Actions creation, create web reports filters, schedule reports, etc.
Apply security updates and patches using BigFix to endpoints on a monthly basis. Manage deployment of all patches, critical updates and service packs on a timely basis according to Information Security policy.
Understand the configuration and management of Relays and creating patching baselines to test in pilot groups for proper change management and rollout to production environments.
Provides subject matter expertise on issues and tasks related to the remote distribution of packages.
Test new releases of products to ensure compatibility and minimize user impact.
Create new or update existing troubleshooting documentation and procedures in a global knowledge base.
Understand the technical aspects of key strategic SHC automation tools and develop measures to mitigate functional gaps that may impact the ability to deliver on the entire scope of the security policy
Work with the Security Compliance team to develop strategies to overcome limitations and/or defects with the tool.
Provide peer review feedback to ensure flawless output from all team members
Communicate with the Security Policy and Policy Program office to ensure tool calibration is scheduled to meet cyclic policy reviews and is within SLO
Agree details of tool policy review schedule with relevant members of C&G
Configure / calibrate all SHC tools as required for SO customers as agreed
Attend account security related meetings and coordinate with account specific coordinators
Adhere to and ensure full compliance with ITCS300 workplace security policy
Responsible for ensuring all time recorded in CLAIM is accurate, complete & up to date.
All WWER Claims to be entered within the month of the expense being incurred – no overdue CLAIMS greater that one month.
No workplace security breaches or Code of Conduct breaches
Review team documentation periodically to ensure the currency of the documentation.
Ensure all updates for required repository information consistent with assigned activities as they occur and follow-ups when required. (i.e. CIRATS, SIR, Team mail box, Change records, Wiki)
Ensure skill levels and required technical knowledge is kept up to date as required, and familiarity and skills on any emerging new technology is acquired as soon as practicable.
Understands and applies knowledge of information technology and associated tools of their technical specialty to support attainment of team and department objectives.
Draws upon concepts of tools, technologies and methodologies to collaborate with other technical specialists when carrying out assigned duties.
Effectively negotiates with technical peers, account teams and information security specialists to meet control objectives and policy review deadlines
