Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a Package Consultant at IBM, get ready to tackle numerous mission-critical company directives. Our team takes on the challenge of designing, developing and re-engineering highly complex application components and integrating software packages using various tools. You will use a mix of consultative skills, business knowledge, and technical expertise to effectively integrate packaged technology into our clients' business environment and achieve business results.
Responsibilities:- Participate in the software development, and package implementation using industry standard platforms Sterling
- Ensure software developed is held to high quality standards through code and design reviews.
- Interface with system integrators and IT engineers on projects to ensure proper adherence to SDLC and platform integrity.
- Knowledge of any popular IDE (Eclipse),code repository (SVN, CVS, GitHub)
- Experience to independently build and deploy Sterling OMS locally and on to any environment
Required Technical and Professional Expertise- Minimum 4-8 years of experience in IT Industry
- Validated knowledge of the various modules in IBM Sterling OMS
- Hands-on configuration and development experience using OOTB Sterling APIs in a minimum of one Sterling OMS implementation
- Proficient in development of wrapper using Sterling OOTB APIs and configuring them as Sterling services (SDF)
- Working knowledge of Sterling Store Web and Sterling Call Center
- Customization knowledge of Sterling Store / Call Center web UI will be a huge plus
- Ability to create Sterling OMS detailed technical design for business requirements
- In-depth experience working with Sterling OMS interfaces with external systems using MQ, JMS
- Ability to independently setup a local instance of Sterling OMS for development purpose
- Solid understanding of core Java, servlets and web services (ReST & SOAP)
- Experience working with XMLs, XSLs and JSON
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise- Experience working with Sterling Order Management on Cloud (OM SaaS)
- Hands-on knowledge of microservices (Spring, Springboot)
- Hands-on experience with UI technologies; Angular JS, React JS, GraphQL
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
- Working and configuration of any one application server; WAS, Weblogic, JBoss, etc
- Exposure to one SQL database; DB2, Oracle, MySQL, etc
- Basic knowledge of navigating through any one operating system; Linux or Windows
