Responsibilities:
Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in finding the right products, and provide excellent service throughout their visit.
Product Knowledge: Have a good understanding of various aquarium products, fish species, aquatic plants, and accessories.
Sales: Promote and sell aquarium supplies, fish, and related items. Upsell products when appropriate.
Maintenance Advice: Provide basic advice on aquarium setup, water quality, and maintenance to customers.
Inventory Management: Keep track of stock levels, restock shelves, and maintain a clean and organized store.
Cash Handling: Ring up purchases accurately and handle cash transactions.
Visual Merchandising: Arrange displays attractively to showcase products effectively.
Problem Solving: Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and handle returns or exchanges.
Learn and Adapt: Stay updated on new products, trends, and industry developments.
Qualifications:
Passion for Aquatics: Genuine interest in fishkeeping, aquariums, and aquatic life.
Customer-Focused: Friendly, approachable, and committed to providing exceptional customer experiences.
Communication Skills: Clear communication and active listening abilities.
Basic Computer Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
Physical Stamina: Able to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy items.
Team Player: Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to a positive work environment.
Preferred Experience:
Previous Retail Experience: Ideally in a pet store, aquarium shop, or related field.
Aquarium Knowledge: Familiarity with freshwater, fish species, and equipment.
Sales Experience: Ability to upsell and meet sales targets.
Additional Information:
Working Hours: 11:00am to 9:00pm
Days: Saturday to Thursday
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience and performance.
