Your Responsibilities

As member of the Financial Control department within Group F&C, you ensure that the administrative processes are effective, efficient and properly executed. In this role you will report to the Group Leader Financial Control.

You assure that the financial reporting provides a true and fair view of its financial position. This provides Vanderlande reasonable assurance on the achievement of our strategic objectives, which in turn supports proper decision making.

Furthermore, compliancy is an important objective we need to comply with internal and external regulations (e.g. IFRS, J-SOX).

As Assistant Financial Controller, you enjoy supporting the Financial Controllers in effectiveness test of the defined internal controls. In addition, you dive into the figures and prepare P&L and balance sheet analysis on global level. Together with the Financial Controllers you like to translate the findings of the controls and analysis into value added reporting by insights in adherence and improvements to your stakeholders.

Furthermore, you will be involved in several improvement projects.

Key activities

• Support in (monthly) flux analysis on P&L & balance sheet level;
• Review balance sheet positions;
• Prepare and/or monitor J-SOX controls (e.g. PC/PM meeting/ WIP control/ SOD control/ reconciliation JDE-BI etc);
• First review on dashboard and report findings to Financial Controllers;
• Support in the IFC testing;
• Update IFC planner;
• Support in Treasury control activities (balance agreements, check & chase bank guarantees etc);
• Support in Service control activities
  
  

Your Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to perform independently analysis under time pressure;

You should bring

• Qualified as Chartered Accountant
• 3-5 years of relevant Control experience in an international corporate environment or audit firm;
• Experience with reporting standard IFRS;
• Work experience related to (financial) auditing, internal control and preferable experience with J-SOX;
• An excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written).
• Analytic tool skills (Excel, JDE etc).
