Assistant Professor Position on Contract Basis for School of Vocational Education at TISS Mumbai Campus.

No. of Positions: 5 Positions

A. Essential qualification for the Position:

i) Ph. D or Masters’ Degree with a minimum 10 years’ experience and expertise in allied discipline, such as, Vocational Education, Economics, Technology Education, Public Health, Psychology, Agriculture, Retail Management, Automotive, Capital Goods, Renewable Energy, Information Technology Enabled Services (IT-ITeS),Banking Financial Services and Insurance, Childcare, Electronics, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Sports & Physical Education, and Tourism and Hospitality.

B. Desirable qualifications/experience are given below as per requirements of the school of vocational education

i) Ph. D degree, with at least 55% marks in the Postgraduate Degree (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) in the concerned/ relevant discipline mentioned above, actively engaged in program management and published work in the subject.

ii) Demonstrated expertise of minimum 10 years of work in an Industry such as Healthcare, Agriculture, Retail, Automobile, Electronics, Hospitality, Life Sciences, Media and Entertainment, and Vocational Training and Management in related fields

ii) Outstanding professional, having a Ph.D. degree in the relevant disciplines, from any academic institutions (not included in ‘A.i’ above) / industry/ practice field, who has made significant contribution to knowledge in the concerned/ relevant discipline

C. Candidature having a blended experience of academia and industry, is desirable.

Skill and Competencies Required:

a. Proven ability to build networks in the field of vocational education;

b. Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to engage with other faculty, staff and students and uphold Institute’s academic standards; and

c. Capacity to create related syllabi/ curriculum in diverse vocational areas.

Remunerations: Consolidated Pay Rs.75,000/- per month
