Assistant Professor (Grade-II) Level-10 as per pay matrix of 7th CPC

Ph.D.

Assistant Professor (Grade-II) Level-11 as per pay matrix of 7th CPC

Qualification: Ph.D.

One year post Ph. D experience of Teaching and Research in Institution of repute or Industry

Assistant Professor (Grade-I) Level-12 as per pay matrix of 7th CPC

Qualification: Ph.D.

Three years after Ph.D. or six years total teaching and research experience in reputed academic Institute or Research and Development Labs or relevant industry.

Associate Professor Level-13A2 as per pay matrix of 7th CPC

Qualification: Ph.D.

Six years after Ph.D. of which at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.8000; Or Nine years total working experience, of which three years should be after Ph.D., with at least three years at the level of Assistant Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 8000.

Professor Level-14A as per pay matrix of 7th CPC

Qualification: Ph.D.

Ten years after Ph.D. or thirteen years total working experience, out of which seven years should be after Ph.D. At least three years at the level of Associate professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9500 or four years at the level of Associate Professor with Academic Grade Pay of Rs. 9000 or combination of Rs. 9000 and Rs.9500 or equivalent in an Institution of repute or Research & Development lab or relevant industry.

Selection Procedure: The shortlisted candidates may be required to appear for test/presentation/seminar, in addition to facing the Selection Committee.

The candidates are advised to download the same from Institute website and keep a hard copy of the duly filled application along with the proof of required fee (Rs. 600/- for UR/OBC candidates, Rs. 300/- for SC/ST candidates and NIL for PwD candidates) deposited in the specific bank account.

National Institute of Technology Patna is the 18th National Institute of Technology created by the Ministry of H.R.D. Government of India after rechristening the erstwhile Bihar College of Engineering Patna on 28. 01. 2004. NIT Patna marked its humble beginning in 1886 with the establishment of pleaders survey training school which was subsequently promoted of Bihar College of Engineering Patna in 1924. This made this institute the 6th Oldest Engineering Institute of India.
