Assistant Professor Special Education/ Assistant Professor Education/ Engineer (Civil) job vacancies in Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Open University (Ahmedabad) On Purely Temporary Basis
Teaching Posts :
1. Assistant Professor Special Education
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : Essential : (1) Masters Degree in any subject area with not less than 50% of marks. (2) M.Ed. Degree in the specific disability area with not less than 55% of marks or an equivalent grade of B in 7 point scale or an equivalent degree from a foreign university recognized by RCI. (VI / HI / MR) (3) Registration with RCI.
Preferable : (1) Special Education. (2) Working knowledge of Gujarati Language. (3) Experience of working in the Open Distance Learning System. (4) Basic skill and knowledge of Computer.
Desirable : (1) Ph.D. / M.Phil. in Education with research emphasis on special education. (2) Experience for a period of a least 3 years as teacher in the area of specific disability or 3 years of teaching experience at the diploma level.
Salary : Rs. 25000/-
2. Assistant Professor Education
No. of Post : 01
Qualification : A. Essential : (1) Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade at Master’s level in relevant subject from an Indian recognized University.
(2) Besides fulfilling the above qualification the candidate should have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.
(3) The candidates who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for which, in notification of Ph.D. it should have clearly mentioned that the candidate has been awarded Ph.D. with UGC (Minimum Standard and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulation, 2009.
B. Preferable : (1) Working knowledge of Gujarati Language. (2) Experience of working in the Open Distance Learning System. (3) Basic skill and knowledge of Computer.

Engineer (Civil)

Qualification : Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university with minimum 50% Minimum 4 years of experience After Graduation in special repairs, ordinary repairs & construction of Building works Thorough Knowledge of estimation, Costing, Rate analysis, Study of Architectural and, Structural drawings, Supervision of works, Recording of M.B, Detailed specifications of item of works etc. is essential. Experience of working with Government/Semi Government/ Government Aided Organization will be preferred. Retired Person can also apply for this post.

Engineer (Electrical)

Qualification : Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university with minimum 50% Minimum 04 years of experience After Graduation in the field of Electrical Engineering, Thorough Knowledge of Electrification in institutional buildings Electrification , HT, LT connection, Knowledge of electrical R & B SOR, preparation of plans and estimates of works, taking measurements, water pumps, Starters, A.C. plants, liaison with UGVCL, etc. are essential. Recording of M.B, & Knowledge of detailed specification of item of works, is essential.
Experience of working with Government/Semi Government/ Government Aided, Organization will be preferred. Electrical License is compulsory. Retired Person can also apply for this post.
