Job Description

Under direct supervision, develops, codes, tests and debugs new non-complex software solutions or enhancements to existing software in a maintenance capacity. Has good understanding of business application. Works with technical staff to understand problems with software and resolve them. Resolves customer complaints with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements. May assist in development of software technical documentation. Demonstrates software. Designs and codes non-complex applications using routine and/or advanced technology. May create optimization programs to resolve problems. May design and build prototype applications.

What will you achieve?

Understand the business requirements and developing automation to test the user requirements
Architect, design, build and maintain clear and reliable automation frameworks/scripts for complex web-based application spanning mobile, web, enterprise backend, platform, API gateways and many more to make testing processes effective and efficient in order to deliver high quality software faster and enable developers to use the framework to test their code before check-in.
Lead the transition to a TDD model
Contribute ideas for continually improving code quality and automation test performance.
Integrate automation tests with CI pipeline.
Work closely with both technical and non-technical team members. Interact with various levels of individual contributors and management to educate and influence automation test strategy
Create accurate and detailed defect reports when issues are identified.

Skills-

Job Requirements

Ability to write code in one or more programming languages like Java, shell scripting, perl scripting, JavaScript/NodeJS etc etc. to automate tests for the full solution stack (UI, App Layer, API, Web Service, batch jobs, etc)
Good knowledge of PL/SQL
Strong exposure with web application automation programming using Selenium
A solid understanding of algorithms and data structure with demonstrated capability to develop, maintain, and ship reliable automation scripts with minimum guidance.
Have a solid understanding of testing principles and methodologies.
Understand HTTP and how modern web applications are built
Understand CI/CD and Build pipelines using Jenkins.
Using test case management tools
Knowledge of the services offered by cloud platform providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud

Background-

Typically 4-7 years of hands-on software engineering experience as UI/End to End Automation QA Engineering
Bachelorâs degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Solid hands on experience with framework development and the framework consisting of other automation frameworks, scripts, DB scripts, queues, various types of code etc to achieve end-to-end automation of workflows.
