Scale of Pay: Pay matrix Rs.35,400-1,12,400, Level-6

Teaching Associates/02 nos.(1 Gen, 1 SC)

Salary: Consolidated Pay of Rs.25,000/- per month

Essential Qualification & Other Qualification:

1)Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management after 10+2 from a Recognized University and full time Master’s degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate either in bachelors or master’s degree.

Full time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration / Hotel Management after 10+2 from a Recognized University securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate with at least 2 years industry experience.

Age limit: Not exceeding 30 years, (as on 01.01.2019),Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and as specified for other categories by Govt. of India from time to time

2) Must have qualified NHTET conducted by NCHMCT with prescribed percentage to qualify for Asst. Lecturer-cum-Asst. Instructor or Teaching Associate, as the case may be. However the candidate, having a Ph. D in Hospitality/ Hotel Management topic from a recognized University/ Institute need not to qualify NHTET.

The Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition, Guwahati is sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. The Institute is pledged to train promising men and women in hotel management, and catering technology, and in specific fields such as cookery bakery, food & beverage service, front office, accountancy, house-keeping management and allied topics, depending on the branch of the industry which the trainee desires to take up.
