Job Description

Asst. Professor (PMR) (Consultant)

Emoluments : Rs. 60,000/- P.M. with no other allowances. 

Essential Qualifications : i. MBBS. ii. PG degree/Diploma in PMR recognized by MCI/RCI. iii. Minimum five years experience in teaching or research in related field.

Desirable: i. Ph.D in the field of rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities. 

Application Fee:  Demand Draft of Rs 200/- (Non Refundable) drawn in favour of the Director, NIVH Payable at Dehradun must accompany with the application without which the application will not be considered. The SC/ST and Ex-Serviceman candidates are required to submit DD of Rs 100/- only. Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted from above fee.

The National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities owes its origin to St. Dunstan’s Hostel for the War Blinded established in 1943, which offered a basic set of rehabilitation services to the soldiers and sailors blinded in the World War II. In 1950, the Government of India took over the St. Dunstan’s Hostel and entrusted the Ministry of Education with the responsibility of developing comprehensive services for the rehabilitation of blind persons.
