Qualification :

Sr. No. 1 to 3 (Home Science Faculty) :- M.Sc./ M.Tech having qualified NET from UGC/ CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited by UGC in the concerned discipline.

Sr. No. 4 to 16 and 25 to 29 (Agriculture Faculty) :- M.Sc./ M. Tech/ MBA having qualified NET from UGC/ CS!R, ICAR or similar test accredited by UGC in the concerned discipline.

Sr. No. 17 & 18 (Basic Sciences Faculty) : - i) Good academic record as defined by the concerned University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master's Degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign University. ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UOC, CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited by the UGC.

Sr. No. 19 to 24 (Veterinary Faculty) : - (i) B.V.Sc/B.V.Sc. & AH degree. (ii) M.V.Sc. or its equivalent master's degree in the concerned subject. (iii) The candidate must be registered with the State Vety. Council/ Vety. Council of India (iv) Qualified the National Eligibility Test conducted by UGC/CSIR/ ICAR/ ASRB or similar test accredited by UGC.

Pay Scale : Rs.27,600 PM fixed in the Pay Band of Rs.15,600- 39,100 + Rs.6000 AOP ( BP Rs.15,600 + Rs.6000 AGP + 100% of AGP)

Application Fee : Rs. 1220/- (Rupees one thousand two hundred and twenty only) for un-reserved category candidates and Rs. 310/-(Rupees three hundred and ten only) for reserved Category candidates (along with self attested copy of SC/ST/OBC Certificate) in the shape of Rank Draft payable at State Bank of India, HPAU, Palampur drawn in favour of the Comptroller, CSKHPKV, Palampur HP.

Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya (now Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Krishi Vishvavidyalaya) was established on 1st November, 1978.The College of Agriculture (established in May, 1966) formed the nucleus of new farm University. It is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution. The University has been given the mandate for making provision for imparting education in agriculture and other allied branches of learning, furthering the advancement of learning and prosecution of research and undertaking extension of such sciences, especially to the rural people of Himachal Pradesh.
