Job Description

The Center of Excellence of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs at Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham invites application from qualified/experienced candidates for the position of Ayurveda Doctor. The project is funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs

School of Engineering, Tribal Empowerment Center of Excellence, Amritapuri Campus

Nature of Duties or Project: Work with research team to design survey, collect health data. A co-design training curriculum that incorporates local Ayurvedic preventive care along with the traditional health worker curriculum. Supervise training of health workers and traditional healers. Work with senior Ayurvedic and Allopathic doctors to customize and implement preventive care solutions based on local needs in Orissa.

Pay Scale : Rs. 25000/- pm (Consolidated)

Qualification: BAMS degree.

Interested in Public Health / Training / Tribal Research.Fluent in Hindi.

Desirable: Interest in research including Ph.D. candidates and working experience in Project(s) will be preferred. Knowledge of Oriya language is preferred.

Location: The university is based in Kerala, and the villages are in Orissa. The candidate may be based in either location and willing to travel between Orissa villages and Amrita’s Centre of Excellence in Kerala.
