Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Develop, test, and deploy high-quality web applications using the CodeIgniter framework
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
3. Write clean, well-documented, and efficient code following best practices
4. Troubleshoot, debug and resolve issues in existing software applications
5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in web development technologies
6. Work closely with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic
7. Optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
8. Participate in code and design reviews to maintain code quality standards
9. Implement security and data protection measures in web applications
10. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed
11. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process and methodologies
