MRV Research and Training jobs - Backend engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and APIs to support our applications
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers and product managers, to define and implement API requirements
• Implement and maintain robust and efficient code, ensuring high performance and reliability
• Create and maintain documentation for APIs, including usage guidelines and best practices
• Conduct thorough testing of APIs to identify and address issues, ensuring the security and integrity of data
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
• Troubleshoot and debug backend issues, providing effective and efficient solutions
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending and implementing best practices

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in one or more backend languages such as Python, Java, Node.js, or Ruby
• Experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
• Solid understanding of software architecture principles and design patterns
• Proficiency in database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
