Investigate Missed/Failed backups
Monitor Miss/Fail of Backup Application scheduled Backups
Perform Backup Server Health check
Restart failed backups
Restore/Recover Data
Perform tape management activities
Schedule backups via Backup Server
Perform On-Demand Backup
Configure/test /install BUR Software - Backup Client
Add client/node
Decommission/un-schedule client/node
Verify Security posture
Maintain Documentation; Restore Standards, Policies, Procedures
Resolve Miss/Fail Backup -- Server
Resolve Miss/Fail Backup -- Client
Troubleshoot Tape drive/library
Investigate/resolve transactional/archive log failures
Perform BUR Library Maintenance/ Fix/Management
Troubleshoot storage performance issues
Troubleshoot storage capacity issues
Initialize BUR Tape Media Volumes
Configure/Test BUR Storage
Configure/test /install BUR Software - Backup Server
Create/Update Backup Application client Config files
Decommission client/node
Add advanced backup Infrastructure server (including client code)
Decommission backup Infrastructure server
Implement Security posture
Perform library media audit
Manage DR (Disaster Recovery) Steady State/Checks
Participate in basic (primarily tape) DR (Disaster Recovery) Exercise (Test)
Plan new releases of BUR (Backup and Restores) software
Perform ID management
Configure /maintain reports for Backup Application scheduled backups
Create, Implement, and Manage Scripts
Perform general administration activities in support of backups
Sound knowledge on Storagepool containers, Node Replication and Protect Storage pools
Good knowledge on Dataprotection for VMWare

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

IBM Spectrum Protect (Tivoli Storage Manager) 5.x, 6.x, 7.x and 8.x
Demonstrated knowledge of effective backup procedures for systems and data
Good knowledge with Linux and Windows server operating systems
Good knowledge of VMware and other Hypervisor hosts and cluster architecture in order to verify backups and storage migrations plans.
Familiarity with SAN and NAS
Familiarity with cloud storage concepts
Tivoli Data Protection Agent TDP (Virtual Environments, Oracle, DB2, Microsoft Exchange and SQL)
Good knowledge on maintenance of Physical & VTL Libraries

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Experience in developing backup scripts for various backup activities
Work experience on other backup software systems
Experience in Unix environments
Familiarity with ANSIBLE
