Business Intelligence Specialist- PowerBI / Data Visualization Specialist

Job Description

Buckman is seeking a Business Intelligence specialist at our Digital HUB in India. This individual will be responsible for the design, develop and implement ETL scripts for movement of data to data, processes to transform structured, unstructured and disparate source data into the target data stores within our technology products as well as fully implementation BI visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards using Power BI.
• Working with cross-functional teams, required to gather, document, and create business requirements documents for data analysis and reporting projects.
• Connecting to data sources, importing data, and transforming data for Business Intelligence.
• Responsible for design methodology and project documentation
• Work collaborative with India and US digital HUB team to accomplish the task, and ensure on-time, quality delivery.
• Perform system testing and user acceptance testing.
• Ensure stakeholder communication.
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
  

Desired Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience with respect to reporting tools and report management (Power BI – must have skills, QlikView – nice to have skills).
• Minimum 2 years of experience with SQL scripting - creating and maintaining tables, stored procedures, functions, views etc.
• Extensive experience of Microsoft Office Tools which includes
  
  • Advanced Excel including use of macros and VB programming
  • MS-Access and exposure to SQL
  • Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
• Knowledge and skills for secondary tools sch as Microsoft Azure, SQL data warehouse, SAP, etc and have created reports from them.
• A demonstrated record of success with a verifiable portfolio of problems tackled with respect to reporting.
• Strong oral and written communications skills in English and ability to work with global stakeholders effectively.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Degree in one of the engineering fields, especially computer science.
• Strong desire to innovate and advance internal technologies and processes.
• Hands-on work experience with open-source data analytics toolsets such as R, Python, etc.
• Experience in tools such as PowerApps, web tools, apps, etc in a POC development environment
