MeFy Care Private Limited jobs - Biomechanics R&D Engineer

We are looking for an individual with strong technical skills in biomechanical design and product development. We are scaling our R&D team and looking for world-class biomechanical engineers with experience and expertise in designing and implementing scalable mechanics solutions from concept to production. This will culminate in a build of looks-like, works-like manufactured devices. Attention to detail and creativity in your approach to both biomechanical design and fabrication methods/materials are equally important.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must possess prototyping skills (Additive manufacturing as a minimum),analytical ability, and must have a solid and demonstrated creative approach to niomechanical engineering, particularly as related to medical product development, and preferably some understanding of microfluidics. Knowledge of material properties and their influence on fabrication is essential and an understanding of biological processes would be advantageous. The successful candidate will also be flexible, able to respond to and contribute to a broad array of challenges both technical and non-technical.

The successful candidate will need to:

• Tackle problems on the boundary of software, hardware, and the real world.
• Apply theoretical knowledge of design principles.
• Drive industrial/mechanical design, prototyping, manufacturing, scaling, quality control and vendor management across hardware R&D initiatives.
• Necessary to be capable of development of detailed CAD models and drawings (e.g., Solidworks, FeatureCam or equivalent CAD packages) for internal and external manufacture.
• Understanding of materials used in medical devices, and biocompatibility/sterility issues.
• Wearable/Patch product development.
• IVD product development (biosensors, microfluidics) and interfacing of disposables with hardware.
• Regulatory studies, Bio-compatibility testing as per ISO, ethics committee approvals, clinical trials.
• Experience of working within an ISO environment (13485, 9001)
• Regulatory standards/guidelines (e.g., CE, CDSCO, FDA, MDD, cGMP) and/or project management training.
• Design documentation as per ISO 13485/ FDA design control guidelines, Other project documentation making part lists, BOM, user manuals.
• Participate in team ideation sessions with other team members and participate in periodic design reviews of projects.
• Be accountable for the success of assigned tasks and deliverables including planning, implementation, monitoring.
• Self-starter who loves to own things end-to-end.
