Develop and support Self Service environments, application and devices

Maintain an in-depth technical understanding of the end to end connectivity within the Self Service platforms.

What will you be doing?

Develop the Self Service environments, understanding the different components in each environments and how to maintain and support them.

Develop, maintain and keep updated the Self Service applications, understanding what each one does and provide SME level support for each one.

Maintain an in-depth technical understanding of Self Service device connectivity and provided consultancy and support for both production and pre-production environments.

Provide technical consultancy for new or existing initiatives, liaise with project managers, business clients and vendors to provide full and detailed analysis and recommendations.

Solve unique and complex technical problems with broad impact on the Self Service estate.

Identify proactive remedial strategies to prevent future environment, process or application problems and to improve the quality of our overall delivered services.

What Were Looking For

In depth Application support and maintenance experience.

A competent and practiced technical problem solver

Experience of supporting the delivery of larger scale environment and application projects through both a consultancies basis and owning the deliverable yourself.

Experience of database technologies.

Awareness of leading-edge tools, techniques and services within IT

Skills That Will Help You In The Role

Experience of maintaining Microsoft domains, user and large computer estates

Experience of supporting different server infrastructure and technologies: e.g. Microsoft, Linux, Wildfly (JBoss)

Experience of supporting both physical and virtual machines estates and have experience in developing and building virtual devices.

Understanding of different network and connectivity technologies and standards: i.e. DNS, VPN, Firewalls and Load balancers.

Experience of supporting and developing ProView or similar event based reporting system

Experience of PVA, SAP of an in-depth knowledge of data transformation and reporting
