Department Overview
Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company, maintains, and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. The Enterprise Finance function contains the Corporate Controllers division, which includes the Enterprise Controls & Oversight (ECO) group. The Controller's Division is responsible for the accuracy of the Company's financial statements, establishing corporate accounting policies, preparing SEC and regulatory reports and ensuring the adequacy of internal controls.
About The Role
This role is a derivative valuation specialist within the newly created enterprise-wide center of excellence group that will be responsible for ensuring accurate valuations of and performing validation processes across all capital markets products, including but not limited to derivatives and securities.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring accurate valuations of and performing validation processes across all capital markets products, including but not limited to derivatives and securities.
- Ensure application of consistent derivative price validation policies throughout the corporate wide derivative population including Equity, Credit, Interest Rate, FX, Commodity and CVA derivatives.
- The candidate will be responsible for the consistent application of consistent derivative price validation policies throughout the corporate wide derivative population including Equity, Credit, Interest Rate, FX, Commodity and CVA derivatives.
- The position requires an in-depth understanding of various valuation techniques, models and model inputs.
- The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and quantitative skill sets. Individual will be expected to assist with problem identification and solutions, and share best practices.
- Modeling knowledge related to a variety of models will be helpful to be effective in this role.
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
- BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Business
- 5+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Business and 2+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of capital markets products, including securities and derivatives
- Knowledge and understanding of model review and validation
- Experience in trading, valuing or price validating capital market instruments
- Previous experience with Model Risk Management practices including Model Governance and/or Model Validation.
- Python programming exposure
