Job Description

Position: Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:

· Identifying and executing new opportunities in international markets that will enhance the product offerings and deliver incremental revenue and profit

· Conduct research to identify new international business development opportunities in international markets, this is to include identifying new potential partners or acquisitions overseas.

· Generate leads and cold call prospective customers

· Meet with customers/clients face to face or over the phone

· Provide strategic advice to the Director to meet organisational budgeting and approval processes

· Work with the Director of Marketing and Admissions to develop and implement International Market plans

· Manage import-export operational activities to ensure shipments are processed timely and properly so project timelines are not affected, and the supply chain pipeline is kept uninterrupted.

· Manage Accounts Payable process in support to any related expenses, such as transportation and customs clearance

· Develop and implement customer relationship programmes including agent training, customer contact/communication plans, and enquiry management and create and manage follow up systems

· Develop international networks and clusters as appropriate including relevant government agencies, overseas agents, trade development agencies, international marketers, local authorities and community and business groups relating to international business

· Attend Fairs, Conferences ,Open Events, Information sessions, Exhibitions, both internally and externally as requested

· The Business Development Manager will undertake other duties as allocated by the Director

Essentials:

· The successful candidate will have a business degree (MBA) or equivalent. Candidates with BSc/ Pharma degree will be first preferred

· The person will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience with at least 2 years, with an impressive proven track record of achieving sales targets and results in a challenging environment

· Strong ability to build personal rapport with a wide range of stakeholders, international recruitment agents/institutes, relevant external agents and with DBS

· Flexible and willing to work outside standard business hours as required

· There is a requirement for international travel in this role, therefore a willingness to work after hours, week days and weekends is an essential

· Superior strategic planning and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail

· Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills, with a proven track record of successful negotiations

· High level of credibility and sound commercial acumen

· Experience in international sales & marketing
