Overview

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a key member of Syfaro's sales team and is responsible for the overall productivity and revenue generation of an assigned portfolio of merchant partners. Syfaro is focused on helping our merchant partners to grow their business, and so the success of the BDM will be measured by the ability to successfully:

  1. Activate- Ensure new merchant partners are introduced to and actively leverage Syfaro platform.
  2. Grow- Drive use of Syfaro platform by identifying and solving merchant’s challenges.
  3. Retain - Promote continued use of Syfaro platform through best-in-class service and support

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Account Activation- Initiate prioritized outreach to target merchants to establish a commitment to a relationship with Syfaro and to drive initial account activity.
  • Account Growth- Drive increased consumer volume within an assigned merchant portfolio by growing use of Syfaro platform with both established and underperforming merchants. Activities will include, but are not limited to, initial merchant orientation, ongoing training of all relevant merchant personnel, and creative sales generation initiatives.
  • Account Retention- Proactively engage in activities to prevent merchant attrition or reduced use of Syfaro platform.
  • Merchant Support- Provide timely administrative support to assigned merchants to develop loyalty and ensure a great customer experience, including processing pricing requests, assisting with consumer underwriting requests, and responding to merchant questions.

Required Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Business Degree in marketing, business, sales or related fields.
  • 5-6+ years sales and/or relationship management experience; preferably in channel sales
  • More than 3 years Ecommerce experience in Cosmetics, Apparel and Accessories, wholesale/retail environment is must.
  • A proven track record of multi-channel merchandising and E-Commerce expertise and successes with hands-on knowledge of strategy, competitive analysis, development, and retail conversion techniques. 
  • Ability to identify problems and provide compelling solutions to a variety of merchant needs
  • Exceptional time management skills; ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects with overlapping goals and objectives.
  • Adaptable and flexible; responsive and resourceful in a fast-paced, quick turn business model.
  • Experience with digital marketing and online sales.
  • Prior experience with Nayakaa, Purplle, Mytra, Jabong is preferred.
  • Actively listens and participates within a team environment.

Syfaro is an online market place wherein the merchandisers will sell their branded products such as Apparels, Accessories, Footwear and Cosmetics and consumers/ customers can try these products online by uploading there pictures before buying them.

Our marketplace is different from other marketplaces such as Naykaa, Myntra, Jabong as we provide our customers the convenience of trying the products online before making a purchase.

The customer has to just make a login account on our website or mobile app. In case of Apparel, Accessories and Footwear, click a full length picture or upload a full length picture and start trying products from different brands. However in case of Cosmetics, click a selfie or upload a selfie and try different cosmetics products available on our marketplace.
