Job Description - Business Development Professional in Manufacturing Engineering / Automation Business. (BIW Tooling / Fixture / Assembly Line) for Europe / North America Market
Experience – 3-10 Years as BD in Manufacturing Engineering.
Key Roles and Responsibilities :
- Researching Organizations and individuals to identify, generate, qualify and convert new leads/clients to exceed sales targets and potential new markets
- Look proactively for opportunities within well-defined niches in the engineering industry
- Managing and interpreting customer requirements
- Identify client needs and customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction and suggest appropriate products/services
- Act as a Bid Officer and produce outstanding tender submissions for international projects
- Developing quotations and proposals for clients.
- Manage and nurture relationships with existing and potential customers across Europe and build brand loyalty and increase solid opportunities and foster long-term opportunities.
- Analyze account requests and translate them into a technically correct and commercially attractive proposal, cooperating with concept engineers
- Negotiate contracts with your (key) accounts at a high level
- Manage your accounts portfolio, recording and maintaining client contact data
- To be the point of contact for all technical, logistical and commercial querries.
· Develop a marketing plan to build relationships and pipeline with each client
- Administering client accounts
- Travelling to visit potential clients across Europe
- Meeting regular sales targets
- Preparing sales reports
- Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
Required Competencies:
- Strong interest in the business to business sales and account management of large corporate customers within a technical industry
- Should have excellent skills and ability to produce attractive, well-scripted, well-designed commercial and technical proposals and presentations.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills with the integrity, confidence and presence to build strong relationships and negotiate win-win solutions
- Ability to grasp technology/technical concepts and articulate technical information in the appropriate form
- Commercial strengths and sound commercial judgement
- Exposure in Mechanical, automobile and aerospace domain
- 8-10 years experience in sales, marketing or related field.
· Strong experience in building business plans.
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines
- Good grasp of the standard IT tools such as the Office Suite, CRM, social media, etc.
- Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations
Language proficiency :
Strong communication and writing skills in English. Any other European Languages is a plus point
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical/Automobile/Instrumentation/similar)
- Master’s Degree in Management from a top-tier program is preferable
