Child Growth and Development Society were established by the Government of India in the year 2012-13 with a view to bringing about qualitative improvement in school education in the country. No sooner than the Council was set up than it mounted a number of programmers in this direction. One such program was to identify and nurture talented students. This program took up the shape of a scheme called State level exam Talent Search Scheme in the year 2014 which was provided for the identification of talented students and awarding them with scholarships. During the all exam clear of the implementation of the scheme, it was confined to the CGDS where in scholarships were awarded to the Class 3 to 8th students. In the year 2012, the scheme was extended to all the states and the union territories in the state with 300 scholarships for the students of Class 3 rd to class 8th. These scholarships were awarded on the basis of a written examination, a project report, and an interview.
