Department Overview
The Business Risk and Control team is responsible for partnering with the relevant business group to identify, assess, manage and mitigate current and emerging risk exposures associated with their activities and operations. Monitors, measures, evaluates, and reports on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function. In partnership with business groups, oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of business-specific programs and processes and controls to identify, assess, and mitigate risk. Manages strategy and execution of activities associated with the Business Risk and Control for a business group or functional area with significant risk and complexity. Manages the support to the business for the design of business-specific risk controls/processes and development of remediation plans to address any control weaknesses or gaps. Ensures that all business risk issues are proactively identified and addressed appropriately, escalating where necessary. Leads initiatives that cross multiple lines of business in scope with significant impact/risk. Builds relationships with corporate, business heads, Legal, Audit, regulators, and industry partners regarding risk management of business-specific risk programs. Coordinate with cross-functional teams in accomplishing department goals and priorities.
About The Role
The Business Risk & Control Senior Officer will be Responsible to lead and manage effectively the day-to-day operational risk management and compliance requirements of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) across the GICs in India and Philippines.
Responsibilities
- Manage risk and control for the SCM group spread across four cities and two countries.
- Have a process approach to risk management and ability to challenge status quo and build relationships
- Partner and liaise closely with the SCM leadership and team to implement all key applicable operational risk components/ programs.
- Perform risk assessments, and ensure audit preparedness. Have a process oriented approach to risk management.
- Proactively and continuously promote engagement of business functions to integrate the risk programs into daily activities/operations, drive risk awareness across the stakeholder groups.
- Develop and implement an effective change management process for any changes in the standard operating environment. This would involve identifying the risks associated with the change, conducting risk assessment and help implement risk mitigation plan working with the stakeholders.
- Liaison with the control validation team to effectively manage the validation process and ensure effective delivery of the testing efforts across the SCM functions.
- Monitor and track all the findings of the control validation reviews, audit reviews and self-identified issues using the corporate tools.
- Issue Management and development of periodic risk reporting to stakeholders for effective tracking and reporting of risk items and issues.
