The RBS organization in Chennai is an integral part of the Amazon online product life cycle and buying operations. The organizations goal is to ensure Amazon remains competitive in the online retail space with the best price, wide selection and good product information. The teams primary role is to create and enhance Retail selection on the worldwide Amazon online catalog. The tasks handled by this group have a direct impact on customer buying decisions and online user experience.

As a Subject Matter Expert with RBS, you will work with Product, Technology and Operations teams to drive improvements in process by operating procedure standardization, establishment, and executing automation through deterministic rules at a global level. You will also be responsible for identifying and driving new opportunities based on Customer and business data and measuring the performance of the same. An ideal candidate will be a self-starter who is passionate about discovering business problems and solving through learning complex systems, working with numbers, organizing and communicating data/reports. You will also be passionate about helping the team make great decisions based on data, possess exceptional skills in project management and data reporting, and be interested in e-commerce industry. You will have to be detail oriented, organized, and capable of handling multiple projects at once, dealing with ambiguity and rapidly changing priorities. Strong expertise in process optimizations and systems thinking will be required to engage directly with multiple internal teams to drive business projects for the organization. Candidate must be successful both as individual contributor and in a team environment, and must be obsessed with serving the Customer. Our environment is fast-paced and requires someone who is flexible, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a deadline-driven work environment. Responsibilities Include works across teams and OPS organization at country, regional and/or cross regional level to drive improvements and enables to implement solutions for Customer, cost savings in process workflow, systems configuration and performance metrics. Leads projects and opportunities across the Operations that are business critical, and may be global in nature.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors degree or higher in Operations, Business, Project Management, Engineering.
Overall experience of 3-6 years.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft tools like Access, Visio, Excel, Word to be able to refine data, prepare workflow and business reports.
Strong knowledge in SQL/ETL, Macro, and VBA.
Ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. Demonstrated active listening skills, highly consultative and solutions-oriented.
Proven analytical skills, excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.
Exposure to operations, escalation management and troubleshooting environments and exposed to problem solving.
Operate in a fast-moving and sometimes ambiguous environment with full control and responsibility of achieving business objectives.
Develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions to typical, unusual or difficult situations or problems.
Ability to work in teams and ultimately focus on delivering results with high standards.
Attention to detail and capability to work on multiple projects in parallel.

Preferred Qualifications

Medium to advanced knowledge of automation using Python.
