The Department of Computer Science Engineering, School of Engineering, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Bengaluru Campus, is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the post of Department Chair.

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering (Prior degree of BTech/MTech in CSE is mandatory)

Minimum 8 years in faculty position in established Higher Education Institutions (applicants will be considered for entry at Associate Professor or Professor level)

Excellent track record of high quality research publications

Minimum two sponsored research projects completed

Excellent teaching performance

Substantial leadership in curricular and co-curricular administration

Must have a track record of working with International collaborators

Salary: As per university policy

Visionary leadership and energy to drive the department’s progress to world class level and alignment with Institution of Eminence requirements

Strong commitment to ethical and professional values

Coordination of work assignments (teaching, research, administration, and community) within department

Coordination of continuous quality improvement activities (including NAAC, NBA, NIRF, international rankings, etc.)

Oversight of admissions, curriculum design, student mobility & progression, faculty performance appraisals, and faculty development

Oversight of student welfare, through support mechanisms for mentoring in academic, extracurricular, cocurricular, and wellbeing programs

Strategically drive the department’s research programs to be on the forefront of technology developments & innovation, while delivering outcomes with beneficial social impact
