JNU jobs - Chair Professor

JNU invites applications for the post of Chair Professor in “Rajiv Gandhi Chair”.

Qualifications :  'JNU seeks to appoint a globally acknowledged expert in Disarmament issues or issues related to Peace, more generally, who has a distinguished record as an academic or practitioner in the field, as the Rajiv Gandhi Chair Professor in Disarmament & Peace Studies. Applications from distinguished Scholars and practitioners who have worked in areas of Nuclear Disarmament, Arms Control, Non-Violence, Gandhian approaches to Peace (including but not limited to concepts such Ahimsa and Satyagraha) and other Indian traditions of peace are particularly encouraged. The Chair/Professor is expected to have a demonstrated track record of expertise in the area through publications or policy engagement at the highest level.' 

Pay :  The post of Chair-Professor shall be in the scale of pay of Rs. 144200 - 218200 Level 14 and the appointment shall be made as per the Revised E.C. guidelines initial period of 2 years extendable up to a maximum of 5 years.
