Job Description

Chairperson recruitment in Department of Power & Non Conventional Energy Sources - Govt. of West Bengal

Qualification in Details: 1. Applications are invited from eligible persons for appointment to the position of a Chairperson of the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission. In terms of Section 84(1) of the Electricity Act, 2003,

2. The Chairperson of Commission shall be a person of ability, integrity and standing who has adequate knowledge and has shown capacity in dealing with problems relating to engineering, finance, commerce, economics, law or management. A person having any financial or other interest that is likely to affect prejudicially his/her function as a member of the commission is not eligible.

3. The salary, allowances and other terms and conditions of service of the Chairperson shall be governed by the West Bengal Electricity Regulatory Commission (Salary, Allowance and Conditions of Services of the Chairperson and other Members etc.) Rules, 2004 as amended.
