Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Working in a wide array of working environments
2. Working as a head chef, as well as working alongside other cooks
3. Supervising kitchen aids and line cooks
4. Working on safe and sanitary practices in the working environment
5. Aiding in the lifting of goods and loads
6. Boiling, frying, basting, grilling, roasting, and broiling meats, fish, and vegetables
7. Working on baking and pastry preparations
8. Checking the freshness of raw foods
9. Organizing and prioritizing the workload effectively
10. Cleaning and sanitizing the work environment, equipment, utensils, silverware, and dishes
11. Measuring, mixing, weighing, preparing, and seasoning ingredients in line with recipes
