Chief Engineer jobs in Delhi at National Water Development Agency

Applications are invited for the post of Chief Engineer (Level-II),in Level- 13(A) of Pay Matrix (Rs.131100 216600/-) in the National Water Development Agency (NWDA) on deputation (including Short Term Contract)/ promotion basis from amongst the suitable and willing officers under the Ministries/ Departments of the Central/ State Govts./Union Territories/ Semi Government/ Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory or Autonomous Organizations/ Engineering Universities/ Research and Development Organizations, holding analogous -post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, or with 2 years of regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto in the Level-13 (Rs.123100-215900) of the Pay Matrix or equivalent in thc parent cadre/department, and possessing Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent, and possessing experience in the applied research in the field of irrigation and water utilization and/ or experience in surveys, investigations, designs, preparation of irrigation projects, construction, operation and maintenance of irrigation projects/ works.

The maximum age limit for appointment on deputation (including Short Term Contract) shall not exceed 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of application.

National Water Development Agency (NWDA) was set up in July, 1982 as Autonomous Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, to carry out the water balance and other studies on a scientific and realistic basis for optimum utilisation of Water Resources of the Peninsular rivers system for preparation of feasibility reports and thus to give concrete shape to Peninsular Rivers Development Component of National Perspective. In 1990, NWDA was also entrusted with the task of Himalayan Rivers Development Component of National Perspectives.
